Quick Thought: The New America

Sunday, March 21st, 2010

And now, we welcome in a new era.  An era of uncompromising entitlement, an era of an addiction to handouts, an era of big government, an era of a NEW America…a fundamentally changed America.  I fear that the addicted, entitled masses will NEVER vote out those that have addicted them; I weep for the future!  Remember, the first one’s free…the rest will cost you.  Can we truly afford this New America?

Quick Thought: Healthcare Bill

Sunday, March 21st, 2010

So a promise of an executive order to not fund abortions may tilt the vote on healthcare?  One question to Mr. Stupak…how many promises has Mr. Obama made in the last 2 years and kept?

Current Events between Christmas and New Years…

Tuesday, December 29th, 2009

I want to give my thoughts on two issues going on in the world this week:  the terror attack on Christmas and the looming Iranian Revolution.

Everyone has heard by now of the lone terrorist that tried to kill almost 300 people before landing in Detroit on Christmas Day; excuse me, allegedly tried to kill 300 people,  according to Mr. Obama.  I have heard several reports about the terrorist, the government’s response, and all the other hyperbole concerning the who and the why.  But there are several thoughts that I have that I would like to share with you.

1)  This event occurred on Christmas Day — the “Holy Day” of the Christian World.  I haven’t heard anything even mentioned about the timing…imagine if we launched a massive attack on Muslims at the start of Ramadan?  What would the outcry be?

2) Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said Sunday on the talk show circuit that the “system worked well!”  Which system is that…the terrorist’s system or ours?  The response was great; a civilian on the plane jumped the 23 year old Nigerian…a civilian!!!  That man is a HERO and deserves a medal!   But our intelligence community – the one Pelosi said lied to Congress – is not doing their job!  Apparently, the CIA has known of the potential threat since August…what in the world is going on in our intelligence community??? Eventually, we will have one of these plots succeed…who will get blamed then?  Bush?  Some low level bureaucrat?

3) The Nigerian was taken into custody and given a lawyer and read his rights.  What?  Are you saying that a foreigner that just tried to blow up a plane was not interogated immediately to find out if there were any other plots going on in the sky?  Remember, on September 11, 2001 there were four planes in the air being used as weapons.  The administration should have been immediately suspicious that there were other potential bombers out there…whether there were or not!!  Instead, the TERRORIST is treated like a mugger on the street…

I have a rather radical solution to this…please bear with me.   If this were to happen in the future, this should be the sequence of events:

The bomber (with his body still covered in burns because, by the Grace of God, his bomb didn’t go off) should be taken off the plane and interrogated using WHATEVER methods are readily available, up to and including waterboarding!!  Two, after his interrogation, he should be made a martyr and put to death; hey, he’s guilty, still got the burns on him.  No trial, no lawyers…just  a bullet in the head.  But not just any bullet; the bullet should be soaked in pig’s entrails for about an hour before being loaded in the gun and fired.  That will ensure the terrorist is damned to eternal hell (by the Koran!)  Then, an ultimatum should be given to the Radical Muslim world stating that the Military will begin using pig coated ammunition…Good Luck in the afterlife!

It’ll never happen, but thats what I would do!!!

On to Iran.  I’ve heard many politicians talking about this administration backing the dissidents in the street; only one problem.  This administration is not even listening to its own citizenry, what makes ANYONE think it would listen to the Iranian “Revolutionaries” and back them?   The  administration has no clue what its doing, other than apologizing for everything the US has ever done.  We should send a strong message that we support the Iranian Protestors; but that would require the Obama administration to acknowledge that a revolution is brewing here as well…

These are just some of my thoughts, I look forward to hearing yours…

Quick Thought: Spending Your Way Out of Debt

Thursday, December 10th, 2009

In the last few days, Mr. Obama stated that the only way to get out of this recession and huge debt is to spend our way out of it. (more…)
