As an educated man, I feel I know a fair amount about history (I’m no historian, but I can usually hold my own); but the new history teachings in Texas leave me confused.  The Texas Education Association is working on their latest history book, but apparently we can’t teach everything…there’s just too much history now.  Guess which of these famous people they are thinking of leaving out:  George Washington, Neil Armstrong, Madame Currie, Jonas Salk or Oprah Winfrey?  Oprah Winfrey is the only one from this list that will be taught in Texas schools if this passes…  If this is going on in Texas (a traditionally conservative state) what are the liberal states teaching…???
