However, those being led into the downfall of this Country blindly while ignorantly smiling and being fooled are still in great numbers also. Then there are those that simply do not care. It has taken many many years to develop a population of arrogance and complacency like we have. Also....our public even if they wanted to fight....(many of them) would not even know where to begin. I do not think it is a mistake that school systems are not pushing politics or government, history in conservative regions. Even when they do....a false sense of security and entitlement has already been bestowed on those parents of another generation. That being said.....EDUCATION to the public....such as this site.....where politics can be broken down into simple terms and not broadcasted in a vernacular that the lower and middle classes cannot understand. That is where the enlightenment of reality comes into play. There is another LTC running for that Kennedy seat from Mass too. If we are not ALL educated...we cannot or will not vote properly come the next election as well. We are also dealing with a desensitized nation. Compassion and empathy in our Country is not a goal as a Nation....it is each man for himself. That will be ultimate failure I am sure of it. Taxing the middle class....just above getting government assistance (who need and deserve it for thier families) while others are getting it who do NOTHING to even contribute to the taxes they benefit from is a HUGE deal!! I hope people pay attention. Thank you for your site. God Bless! I am just thinking... let the people who made this decision go there for a day or two at least. Let them tell their families that they can no longer fire on the enemy until he has first pulled the trigger on them!! Question? Wasn't there at some point a law that said that US Soldiers couldn't fire into religious grounds? Also, that the terrorists used those religious grounds as bunkers to attack our Soldiers from at an unfair disadvantage that cost our military money, time and most importantly LIVES!! I have tried to find the research on this and came up empty handed. If you have anything please forward it to me. This sounds like it must be for political gratification and NOT the best interest of winning ANY WAR! They should make the person changing these ROE go personally to the Widows, Widowers and children...even mothers, fathers, etc. Go to them personally to tell each of them that the reason their loved one was lost was because their were some politics that were more important than their lives! Go ahead, have them come tell my children that if their father is lost! What about the saftey and security of our brothers and sisters who are already sacrificing soo much? I am sorry I just find this outrageous! This makes no sense to me and goes against all our Soldiers are being taught in Basic Combat training which now they will have to relearn that muscle memory I guess....or be Prosecuted for defending themselves and supporting a mission that is compromised by beauracracy! In my recent trip to Europe, I discovered that it is "illegal" to fly the Union Jack (the flag of England) because it may offend someone! Why in the world would it offend someone to fly your country's flag!?!??!?! I guess we are becoming more and more like Europe; and that is a sad, sad thing! - The Defender I fully support the Patriot and COL Barfoot!! And why in the world would anyone who saw him the morning of the shootings not stop him to ask why he was carrying two wepons in to the building? Yes, my question is where was the MP's also. It is sad that we as trained combat survicemen are trusted with sidearms and rifles overseas but not when we are back, even on a secured base. But an officer can have one on him or her person at any time for any reason when they have never even seen combat or possibly have the training or quals we have to have. One well trained soldier with a weapon could have ended this massacre. We had to depend on a civilian, contract police force to end it. Where were the MPs? Why are our soldiers being disarmed?
