Don’t be alarmed when you see these billboards on buses this Christmas. There are several atheist groups running more campaigns to change peoples’ minds when it comes to their beliefs. We as believers have to be prepared to counter this movement and keep our kids safe from people like this. The truth is that these people don’t care what we, adults, think. They want to capture the minds of our children and turn them away from God. I know I sound desperate and reactionary, but I can’t imagine NOT having God in my life or having one of my kids turn away from The Lord.
I am not one of those people that keeps their mouth shut. I usually say what I mean and mean what I say. I stand behind my beliefs and are ready to defend them when necessary. Now is one of those times. Please join me in fighting against this attack on our children and their beliefs.
Christmas is the celebration of the birth of Jesus, period. Over the years it has been over-commercialized into spending more than you can afford for the sake of gift giving. Yes, my family has fallen into that trap of over-spending during Christmas, but we have not forgotten what this HOLY DAY really celebrates.
Today, faith is under attack from all angles. There have been efforts to remove prayer from school – SUCCESSFUL. There have been efforts to remove religious images from schools – SUCCESSFUL. There have been campaigns to remove prayer from sporting events – SUCCESSFUL. There have been measures to remove any type of religious imagery or art from government buildings – SUCCESSFUL. There was recently a campaign to remove a nativity scene from in front of a courthouse – SUCCESSFUL. Now the same people have to refer to the CHRISTMAS tree out front has a “holiday” tree. There is an ongoing campaign to remove “In God We Trust” from our currency. My friends, we are at war and we are losing! The de-religionification of America has been waging against us for years and we are almost defeated. Our Founding Fathers based this country in their belief in God but had the wisdom NOT to make it the state religion and to include provisions in The Constitution for the free practice of one’s faith without fear. But today, these same provisions and their skewed interpretations are being used to destroy faith in this country. Forget Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, or any other religious beliefs. The goal of these people to wipe out all religion, all faith. We can’t let it happen.
Believe me, I engage atheists in debate every chance I get and the conversation usually turns out the same, “Lets agree to disagree,” they say. NO, LETS NOT! Because there is good and evil in the world. There are lines in the sand!
Please say Merry Christmas to everyone you meet. Tell them of the birth of Jesus and what God is doing in your life. The Lord has truly blessed me this year with a new job, continued health for my kids and the most amazing wife a man could hope to have.
