Question: How do I set up Outlook with my Odyssey Multimedia Incorporated email account? Answer: You can easily set up and use Outlook XP with your OMI email account. Step 1: From the 'Tools' menu of your Outlook program click 'Email Accounts'. ![]() Step 2: Click 'add a new email account', then click Next. ![]() Step 3: Select the POP3 radio button (the black dot), then click Next. ![]() Step 4: Type in your Name in the space provided. This will be your "display name" when you send out email. ![]() Step 5: Put in your email address in the space provided. Your email address will be whatever you chose for your email address @ your domain.com. Step 6: Type in your Incoming and Outgoing Mail Server names. Your 'Incoming Mail Server' (POP3) name will be mail.yourdomain.com (replace .com with .net, .org or whatever extension your domain name uses). The 'Outgoing Mail Server' (SMTP) name will come from your ISP (Internet Service Provider ). Once you have done this, click 'Test Account Settings'. NOTE: You may need to contact your ISP to find out what SMTP server to use to receive your email. ![]() Step 6: Make sure that you are connected to the internet before you test your account settings. If you are not connected to the internet you will get tons of error messages from Outlook. If you are connected and have entered all the information correctly, you should get five green arrows.
